*** JOB DESCRIPTION

Kyber Network is looking for an Applied Cryptography Research Lead working in either the Hanoi or the HCMC office. This position belongs to the Research team, reporting directly to the Head of Research, in charge of Cryptography Research activities in Kyber Network.

At Kyber Network, we are concentrating our efforts on researching Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKP) as well as other cryptographic protocols to improve the privacy and scalability of decentralized transactions on the public blockchain. The main goal is to enable multiple/mass users’ privacy in the secure and decentralized trading of cryptocurrencies and other assets.

Responsibilities:

• Building and managing the Applied Cryptography Research team in Research department.
• In charged of Cryptography Research activities of Kyber Network.
• Consulting the Head of Research in department’s orientation decisions .
• Collaborating with the Head other Leads to grow the fund of knowledge of Research department.
• Enabling new products and new features by cutting-edge cryptography solutions.

Requirements:

Must have

• Ph.D. graduated in applied cryptography or related scientific research.
• Solid Cryptography background.
• Experienced in designing and implementing cryptography protocols.
• Experienced in researching, good analytical and synthesis ability
• Excellent English for reading, writing, and verbal communicating specialized in scientifique papers/documents.
• Excellent background in Math, especially in number theory
• Orienting in-depth working in Cryptography and Blockchain.
• Interested in ZPK (SNARKs, STARKs, Bulletproofs, etc.)

Nice to have

• Highly appreciated scientific papers.
• Majored in mathematics/informatics at high school, participated in the National Olympiad for mathematics/Informatics.
