Associate Operations Manager
Role Purpose
To support and drive the embedded operations business with a focus area on excellence in operations management & client engagement. The individual will ensure the delivery of commercial, administrative and world class operational support and competence. This is a regional role with a focus on the Middle East and North Africa.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Operational Management
- To lead on the management of North African and Middle Eastern clients and engagement of business development
- To assist in the day-to-day management of embedded consultants and client requirements across EMEA
- Support other Operations Managers with the management of all engagements tasks throughout EMEA as required
- Maintaining and expanding client relationships through collaborating with clients to identify needs and opportunities to ensure delivery of high quality work
- Identify and advise on opportunities to improve operations management processes and implementation
- To assist in the implementation of local content strategy for the region
- Promote the link between service lines and embedded consultants to ensure effective lines of communication
- Ensure that embedded consultants are effectively supported by Control Risks
- Responsible for resource management including selection, recruitment, training, contracting and deployment of consultants
- Operational management of consultants in accordance with client requirements, Control Risks policies and appropriate international standards
- Commercial management of embedded consultancy engagements, including scoping and writing high quality proposals
- Developing client successful client relationships
- Maximising revenue and profitability of tasks / embedded consultancy engagements
- To assist in the creation and management of sales leads
- Proactively build and maintain solid relationships with decision makers and/or senior managers across the business, seeking out opportunities for collaboration
Requirements
Essential
- Good commercial experience in a risk consultancy business
- Keen interest in regional affairs
- Developed project management and commercial skills
- Experience in successfully managing client relationships
- Highly developed communication skills – written and verbal
- Developed IT skills (Microsoft Office)
Preferred
- Degree qualification or similar experience
- Security / Risk consulting qualification preferred
- Solutions focused
- Owns problems, identifies and works with the right people to solve problems quickly within own remit and wider teams
- Reviews and looks for efficiencies in ways of working
- Constantly seeks innovative ways to improve the services we offer to our clients
- Is prepared to make decisions and effectively implement those decisions
