Business Development Manager

This position will lead the Business Development efforts and initiatives of MAX in the Cars & EV space. Our ideal candidate will be trusted to dive right in, take the lead, use initiative, and help build/foster business relationships to unlock the business and supply chain management of Cars and EV that would ensure achievement of revenue goals and targets. The incumbent of this role is expected to be highly skilled at sales and business operations.The Business Development Manager (BDM) Cars and EV will be someone who brings a proven track record in successfully leading business development activities in the Mobility Industry. The ideal person should be someone who has the ability to think beyond the ‘transactional’ and provide ‘big picture’/strategic thinking. This person will bring a blend of management, strategic thinking, and marketing skills.What You’ll Do:
- Establish & Carry out Cars & EV Business Development / Sales growth plan for MAX
- Prospect/Develop/Leverage new EV & Cars OEM & Tier 1 relationships and opportunities
- Engage with strategic internal & external partners to gain a thorough understanding of the business & promote the growth of the MAX Cars & EV pillar
- Identify & develop partnerships with key stakeholders within the target EV accounts who will have an influence and sustain our EV specification
- Drive Specification and lead generation, and overall Business Development execution to increase strategic Sales penetration for the Cars & EV Market
- Primary contact for Regional & International BD growth in Carss and EV, while collaborating with Operations and Product Teams
- Provide a high-level overview of EV activities internally to the Senior Management Team
- Provide a monthly overview of Cars and EV opportunity funnel and progress on key opportunities
- Participate in Carss and EV segment planning and forecasting efforts
- Coordinate with local, regional, and global contacts on Carss and EV opportunities, specification influence, and market initiatives
- Provide feedback on emerging trends, competitor strategy, and new product development needs to segment team
RequirementsWhat You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sales, or Marketing preferred
- 7 years’ experience in Industrial Business Development/Sales preferred
- Good knowledge of renewable energy system and power infrastructure
- Good knowledge of institutional setups and relevant stakeholders
- Ability to demonstrate grant proposal writing, preparing tenders and working with donors
- Self-starter with a “personal drive” mentality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, strong initiative and good judgment and decision-making capabilities
- Proven success driving incremental EV and or mobility business and building relationships with Tier 1 suppliers
- Detail oriented, ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to travel 30 – 50%
