Business Development Manager

Venco is a technology company in the proptech space. We builds operating systems for residential and commercial communities that help to streamline and simplify their operations – simplifying processes such as billing, collections, utilities vending, code-based access control, issue management, accounting and much more. We also provide direct services to households such as marketplace services, rental-assistance and household financing

About the role

As the business development manager, you will be passionate about technology and have experience in the real estate industry. The successful candidates will be responsible for selling Venco in the assigned location. You will be responsible for discovering, pursuing and closing new sales prospects, negotiating deals and maintaining customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for the following:

  • Proactively sell Venco’s community management solution (and prepaid utility meters) to facilities/property managers, residents associations, real estate developers and other operators of residential and commercial communities ;
  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referral-based strategies;
  • Manage relationships with facilities/property managers, residents associations, real estate developers and other decision makers in territory defined and agreed by the company;
  • Administer assessments to learners to determine baseline academic performance;
  • Understand customers desired outcomes and how to leverage technologies to assist in optimization;
  • Develop and submit comprehensive proposals based on assessed needs of potential clients;
  • Using a consultative selling approach to properly qualify and align the needs of the customers;
  • Present the highest level of professionalism and passion through presentations, marketing materials/events, quotes & proposals;
  • Identify fora where key real estate stakeholders meet such as conferences, symposia and other meetings and create opportunities for company to showcase its products there
  • Compiling and presenting sales reports;
  • Perform other duties as may be required;

  • Competent user of Office Tools

  • Good organisation skills
  • Comfortable working with technology
  • Comfortable working within teams
  • Curious and self-directed /self-motivated worker
  • Ability to multi-task and manage conflicting demands
  • Good communication (oral and written) skills
  • Experience in a similar role is an added advantage
  • Real estate experience will be an added advantage
