Business Development Officer Duties:

Build existing and develop new business relationships

Create, monitor, and report on key performance metrics to determine effectiveness of sales efforts and anticipate customer needs

Secure new business using a variety of methods, such as cold calling, email, trade shows, and referrals

Work with sales teams to identify, develop, and articulate new business opportunities

Identify and communicate sales opportunities throughout the organization

Provide support to sales teams and individuals by preparing reports and presentations

Assist with special projects and tasks as requested

Business Development Officer Responsibilities:

Drive sales activity through business development efforts with companies or individuals

Identify opportunities, research their requirements, conduct primary research, present proposals, negotiate deals, and close deals

Coordinate activities with other departments such as Project Management and Finance

Develop and implement strategic business plan to achieve revenue growth and margin expansion

Keep abreast of market trends and competitive activities, maintain current knowledge of construction and contracting industry

Assist with rent analysis, rent reviews, and lease renewals

Requirements And Skills:

*Proven sales experience from independent contractor, sales representative or distributor background

*Bachelor’s degree

*Ability to negotiate and collaborate with others in a positive manner

*Excellent communication and organizational skills

*Strong computer skills

*Great time management

*Strong decision making skills

* 1+ years of relevant professional experience
