Business & Operations Manager
About the job
We are looking for an experienced Manager to oversee the business operations. The studio manager will help supervise staff, schedule shifts, promote our services, and keep expenses and revenues records updated. Ultimately, you’ll help boost client satisfaction and increase our revenues.
Responsibilities:
Operations
• Manage day-to-day operations of the salon, including opening and closing procedures, staff behaviour and customer intake procedures
• Organize employees’ shifts, considering peak times and seasonality
• Manage inventory salon products by maintaining records of stock quantities on hand and order replacement items
• Arrange regular maintenance services for all equipment
• Resolve customer complaints and provide solutions to staff disputes
People Management
• Interview, hire and train salon staff in procedure, policy and health regulations
• Maintain staff records, including salaries and working schedules
Finance Management
• Receive payments from clients and track all transactions
• Keep updated records of costs and revenues (e.g. daily, monthly and quarterly)
• Account for and report profits and expenses of the business
Marketing
• Promote the products and services on all social media
• Run online ads and offer discount packages to attract new customers
Requirements
• B.SC degree in Business Administration or relevant field
• CRM certification is a plus
• Proven work experience as a Beauty Salon Manager or similar role
• Advanced organizational skills to manage staff, operations and salon finances
• General bookkeeping and business finance skills
• Excellent communication and team-leading skills
• Detailed knowledge of the beauty industry and customer needs
• Highly proactive with critical thinking skills
• Interest and ability to continue learning about market standards and changes in trends.
