Job Title: Coordinator, GIS /Data Analytics

Purpose of the position
The Coordinator, GIS/Data Analytics will work under the supervision of the Senior Coordinator, Data Analytics and assist in the day-to-day planning, coordination, and integration of operations and activities within the GIS operations of the eHA’s Product and Service department. S/he will work closely with the manager in the design and implementation of information systems for the provision of access to GIS data.
What you’ll do
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned:
- Develops systems and tools for effective data management, visualization, and interpretation (systems design, dashboards, information graphics, mapping, Tableau).
- Uses automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources
- Removes corrupted data and fixes coding errors and related problems
- Develops and maintains databases, and data systems – reorganizing data in a readable format.
- Remote sensing and GIS disease modeling
- Design surveys and implement data surveys
- Performs analysis to assess the quality and meaning of data.
- Filters data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify and correct code problems.

- Provides technical assistance and builds understanding among partners about the effective use of data.
- Uses statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets that could be helpful for diagnosis and prediction
- Assigns a numerical value to essential business functions so that business performance can be assessed and compared over periods.
- Analyzes local, national, and global trends that impact both the organization and the industry.

- Introduces different tools in the analysis process.
- Prepares reports for the management, stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
- Assists with the development, implementation, coordination, and maintains internal technical standards.

- Contributes towards the identification and implementation of effective and adapted technical solutions and partnerships.
- Working with programmers, engineers, and management heads to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies.
- Provides capacity-building related to database maintenance and advanced data analysis techniques for spatial information.
- Preparing final analysis reports for the stakeholders to understand the data-analysis steps, enabling them to make important decisions based on various facts and trends.
- Supports the collection of spatial datasets and integration with eHA activities.

- Supports the implementation of continuous improvement processes.
- Attends and participates in professional group meetings, seminars, and training to stay abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of geographic information systems technology.
- Participates in and promotes a positive, supportive, cooperative team environment.
- Attends and participates in staff meetings, training classes, and supervision.

Who you are
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to successfully perform this job.
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistic, Geoinformatics, Geography , Computer Technology, Social Science or a related field. A relevant professional certification is desired.
- A minimum of four (4) years of GIS, spatial Modelling and Data Analysis experience preferably in the Nonprofit sector or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advance knowledge with GIS and Spatial Data Analytics
- Advance knowledge with Data analytics
- Proficiency python programming language, preferable “arcPY”
- Advance knowledge in remote sensing and GIS modeling for health informatics.
- Knowledge of workflow automation tools
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Advanced skills in statistical analysis and modeling using tools such as R or Python.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib/seaborn.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex findings into actionable insights.
- Excellent attention to detail and timelines
- Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and in a team. Must possess good problem-solving skills
- Experience with technology systems, and informatics strategic planning.
- Demonstrated executive/managerial skills, including experience managing complex
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of technology project management
- Strong leadership skills that include the ability to build effective teams, ability to Advanced computer skills, including Google Drive, Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency in working with specialized software utilized in the program
