Data Architect

 As a member of the team you will:

• Help align Macmillan’s data with its business strategies
• Democratise our data within the organisation, make sure it is accurate and complete so it can be used for decision making
• Help Macmillan gain a better understanding of their data catalogue
• Help provide guidelines for managing data throughout the data lifecycle
• Create a good underlying structure which we can develop and build data governance on
• Help enforce security and privacy guidelines that come from InfoSec and InfoGov
• Supports BI and Data Platform activities

Your knowledge and experience

Essential skills: 

• Data visualization, data migration , data pipelines and data modeling
• Relational database management systems including SQL Server
• Microsoft data tooling including Synapse, PowerBI etc. (Knowledge only not having to go into in depth solutions?)
• Information Management and Data processing on multiple platforms
• Programming languages. i.e. Python, SQL
• Strong business and communication skills

Bonus:

• MS Dynamics 365 experience
• Machine Learning, predictive modelling and NLP experience
• Cloud experience. i.e. Azure
