The Data Engineer will be responsible for evolving and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as, optimizing data flow and collection for multi-functional teams. You will also be responsible for integrating them with the architecture used across the company.

Responsibilities:

Translate business and functional requirements into robust, scalable, operable solutions that work well within the overall data architecture

Design, develop, implement, test, document, and operate large-scale, high-volume and low latency applications

Model data and process flows for both live and offline data in a way that maps storage systems to business requirements

Collaborate with data scientists to productize algorithmic prototypes for statistical analysis and machine learning for prediction and clustering

Design data integrations and data quality framework

Participate in the full development life cycle, end-to-end, from design, implementation and testing, to documentation, delivery, support, and maintenance

Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and build out new API integrations

Evaluate new technology and advise on our data ecosystem

Champion data governance, security, privacy, quality and retention policies
Requirement:

3 – 5 years’ of overall programming / data engineering experience

Advanced SQL skills, and proficient in one or more programming languages such as Python
-
Familiarity with python data science tooling (pandas, scipy, sklearn)

Demonstrated proficiency with data structures, algorithms, distributed computing, storage systems
-
Experience with AWS services

Experience with Big Data Technologies

Strong knowledge of data management fundamentals and data storage principles

Experience in working and delivering end-to-end projects independently

Strong written and verbal communication skills across diverse audiences
-
First Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience & analytical skills
