Job Title: Finance Analyst
Helium Health is a full-service Healthtech company that provides a suite of solutions for healthcare providers, payers, and patients in emerging markets — at the core of which is our SaaS based electronic medical records/hospital management information system (EMR/HMIS).
The Finance Analyst will perform the accounting for all transactions, processing of payments, completion of monthly financial statements, preparation of month-end close, monitoring of budgets, and will provide support for additional operational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain records, process check requests, collate financial reporting materials, and perform bookkeeping/accounting for all transactions by project/workstream.
- Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner
- Monitor cash on hand and provide weekly updates to the Head, Finance.
- Clearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements and other financial reporting deliverables
- Assist in the coordination and collaboration with other departments
- Support the maintenance of annual/monthly budgets; work with the Head, Finance to monitor budgeted amounts versus actual amounts incurred
- Administer and maintain the contract management tracking tool; working with external partners, including third-party vendors and consultants
- Monitor compliance with business policies and internal control documentation.
- Provide support for Helium Health’s annual audit of and prepare/provide necessary Documentation
- Collaborate with the Head, Finance on ad hoc projects
- Assist in the preparation of deliverables for the Finance Committee
- Track project and workstream deliverables and milestone requirements
- Create documentation that details and supports key decisions
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting
- 2 – 3 years of accounting/corporate reporting/financial management experience
- Studying for or completed relevant qualifications (ICAN, ACCA)
- Proficient in bookkeeping with experience in QuickBooks preferred
- Proficient in MS Office tools including but not limited to MS Project, Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and other Accounting Software such as; Sage
- Excellent group presentation and communication skills
- Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively communicate written and verbally to all levels of management and to external stakeholders
- Ability to identify areas of operational improvement and provide implementation strategies to improve processes
- Proven ability to work independently, be a team player and a leader fostering collaboration
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances.
