Holmes Education Group is looking for an enthusiastic Groups and Juniors Manager to ensure customer satisfaction in the groups and juniors sector of our English Language teaching division.

Working alongside teams based in the UK, Ireland, Australia, the USA and Canada, you will assist in achieving ambitious recruitment targets via a network of student recruitment agents, building relationships with schools and co-ordinating our marketing activities for the recruitment of groups and juniors. You will manage the operations of group bookings, ensuring our staff and customers are kept up to date at all times.

This is a hands-on role. You will be involved with recruitment partners and students on a daily basis, working alongside staff based overseas. You should have a minimum of two years of experience in education sales or management – this role would particularly suit someone looking for their second or third role in English Language sales.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing competitive group quotes in a timely manner to agents, schools, marketing reps for our UK centres and for our residential summer camps.
  • Acting as the in-country point-of contact for marketing managers, schools, group leaders and agents where relevant.
  • Systematically and aggressively following up on quotes in order to maximize business, secure deposits, close deals.
  • Providing relevant documentation to facilitate visa processes.
  • Managing operations, once groups are confirmed, pre-arrival transfers, activities, excursion bookings, staffing (in conjunction with centre managers), accommodation (in conjunction with accommodations officers)
  • Providing pre-arrival training, where necessary, for relevant staff (centre managers, centre staff) on how to achieve successful outcomes with groups.
  • Overseeing quality control and student satisfaction once groups are on the ground
  • Trouble shooting in conjunction with centre managers and marketing managers
  • Managing cost control and budgets to ensure profitability
  • Financial reconciliation
  • Market analysis and strategic planning in conjunction with the marketing director and regional managers.
  • Weekly reporting and record keeping,
  • Ensuring repeat business, as well as sourcing and developing new groups business/business opportunities
  • Any other relevant duties

Skills and Attributes

  • Organised and Meticulous: You will have a high level of administrative expertise, computer skills, an excellent working knowledge of document production and effective time management skills;
  • Communication Skills: You will have exceptional written communication and interpersonal skills, a professional image, the ability to present well and the mind-set of working in a dynamic educational environment;
  • An International Mindset:Our students are predominantly international students, so fluent written and spoken English is a must and other languages are an advantage;
  • Service Oriented:You respond quickly and accurately to a range of enquiries from colleagues and customers alike. You will be a team-player with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude; and
  • An Excellent Salesperson: You have an excellent sales mindset, you are adept and meeting and exceeding targets, and use technology to keep on top of the sales and operational pipeline.

The role is based full-time in our London location, in the heart of Soho. Home/remote working is not available with this position. The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week between the hours of 8.30 am and 6 pm, Monday to Friday. Initial interviews will be held virtually.
