Information Technology Manager

A group of companies in oil & gas, aviation, logistics, freight forwarding, dredging, and animal feeds production sectors needs for immediate employment, the services of an experienced IT Manager

Responsibilities:

1. Infrastructure Management:

o Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage systems, and telecommunications.

o Monitor system performance, security, and availability, ensuring proactive measures are taken to address any issues or vulnerabilities.

o Plan and execute upgrades, expansions, and migrations to meet evolving business needs.

2. IT Operations:

o Manage day-to-day IT operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of systems, applications, and services.

o Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain data integrity, security, and compliance.

o Perform regular data backups, disaster recovery planning, and system testing to minimize downtime and mitigate risks.

3. Technical Support:

o Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly.

o Develop and maintain documentation, knowledge base, and FAQs to facilitate self-help and improve support efficiency.

o Conduct user training sessions to enhance employees’ technology skills and promote best practices.

4. Project Management:

o Lead and manage IT projects from initiation to completion, including requirements gathering, resource allocation, timeline management, and stakeholder communication.

o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.

5. Vendor Management:

o Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with technology vendors, negotiating contracts and service level agreements.

o Monitor vendor performance, conduct regular audits, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

o Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to make informed recommendations on technology investments.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualification & Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience

· 7 years of experience working in IT operations

· Industry certifications (e.g., MCSE, CCNA) are desirable.

· Membership of a professional association is an added advantage.

Location – Apapa, Lagos State
