Junior Accountant

How you’ll go beyond: 📈

• Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers, and other records to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Collect and register accounts payable invoices and perform reconciliations
• Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
• Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
• Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
• Participate in monthly/yearly closings
• Assist with other accounting projects

What you bring to the table: 📋

• University / Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting
• 1-2 year of accounting work experience (essential)
• Knowledge of local VAT rules and regulations
• Understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• Analytical mind with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills
• Advanced competency in Microsoft Office packages
• Excellent report writing, communication and IT skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Fluent in English
• Experience with SAP ERP is desirable
