Junior Business Development Manager

The Junior Business Development Manager will be responsible for providing support to the team on all areas of idea generation, building, maintaining, managing relationships and partnerships with facilities and prospective customers. In this role, you will also drive new business and actively partake in the overall day to day relationship management of a large portfolio of existing clients while developing new accounts. You will hold joint accountability for improving the profitability of the company by employing the highest standards of relationship management and will also help to develop and implement strategies that consistently add value for both our clients and facilities. To be successful in this role, you should have a proven track record in achieving sales targets in either a Business Intelligence or B2B sales role. Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical industry is preferred.

Responsibilities
Ensures revenue growth and long-term sustainability of the organization through the following activities:
– Obtain a thorough working knowledge of the company, its offering, competitor landscape and typical customer profile.
– Secure B2B sales income for the company’s products, services, and events to agreed targets.
– Provide support to the team in developing new client base.
– Liaise closely with the other Business Development Managers, wider Marketing Team and colleagues from all teams to tailor company product offerings to customers, clients, and facilities, ensuring we deliver opportunities that meet client needs.
– Manage and maintain strong business relationships with existing accounts, arrange follow-up meetings, ensure they are satisfied with the company’s offerings and seek any cross or up-sell opportunities
– Develop packages and pricing strategies across our product portfolio, including event sponsorship, ensuring our brand value is high and our pricing maximised in the competitive environment.
– Actively listen and understand the challenges of existing and prospective customers, remaining mindful of the ways in which the company can generate solutions for them.
– Approaching prospective B2B clients and maintaining client relationships especially in the Nigeria Healthcare Market.
– Develop and maintain the company’s Client database through research and the development of networks.
– Create and update sales status reports including identified contacts, leads and confirmed sales.
– Prepare and present reports to colleagues, Senior Managers, stakeholders and Boards.
– Manage the sales pipeline, from acquisition to long term partnership.
– Attend sector exhibitions and events to keep knowledge and networks up to date.

Requirements
– Bachelors degree or equivalent from a reputable university
– 3+ years proven work experience in the Pharmaceutical, Supply Chain or PharmaTech industry
– Strong sales skills and relationship management experience with large local knowledge of customer relationship management.
– Knowledge and understanding of pharmaceuticals.
– Commercial acumen, and comfortable in a target driven environment
