Livestock Sales Associate

Overview
The ideal candidate will develop relationships with prospects, acting as the initial point of contact as a sales associate. This includes responding, and engaging inbound leads/inquiries, and converting them to customers. You will also generate potential customers, facilitate sales, and connect customers with account executives and technical livestock support needed.
Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new sales opportunities and convert prospects to customers
- Develop sales strategies to draw in potential buyers or solicit new potential customers.
- Initiate contact with potential customers through cold-calling or responding to inquiries generated from advertisements.
- Create relationships with customers to identify their potential needs and qualify their interests and viability to drive sales.
- Present product information to customers once you have identified their needs.
- Move solid leads through the marketing funnel, convert leads to buyers and connect them to an account manager.
- Follow up with potential customers who expressed interest but did not purchase any goods or services.
- Ensure regular follow-up calls or emails and facilitate communication with existing customers to ensure their satisfaction and identify new potential needs.
- Collaborate with technical account executives to meet the company’s goals.
Qualifications
- First degree in veterinary medicine, animal science, animal husbandry or related fields.
- 1+ years of successful experience in sales/telemarketing.
- Basic experience with MS Suite and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce or HubSpot).
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in a second language (Yoruba, Igbo, or Hausa)
- Self-driven and competitive team player.
