About ZODML

Zaccheus Onumba Dibiaezue Memorial Libraries (ZODML) is a non-profit organization based in Lagos, Nigeria. Its work is inspired by the life and legacy of Zacchaeus Onumba Dibiaezue who through self-learning and access to libraries was able to transform his life and the lives of others.

ZODML provides free access to digital resources, information, and learning tools through which young Nigerians, particularly those attending public universities, can acquire knowledge and thrive in their studies and future careers.

Since its founding in 1999, ZODML has established 54 libraries. To extend our impact and reach we are developing a stronger online presence that will support the continued achievement of our work. As we move into the next stage of our growth and advance our work in a way that supports Nigeria’s youth with access to free sources of information and learning tools to acquire knowledge, we hope to expand our team and put in place the structure to drive our goals forward.

You will be at the forefront of driving the success of the ZODML brand and building a stronger presence within the literary community and public universities. Your responsibilities will encompass marketing strategy, digital marketing, brand management, content creation, and stakeholder engagement.

What we’re looking for:
The ideal candidate will identify and build out the team as required to develop and deliver on the initiatives put in place.

Responsibilities:

● Marketing Strategy and Campaigns:
○ Execute defined marketing strategies to raise awareness of ZODML’s mission, programs, and impact.
○ Plan and implement integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, email, and offline channels.
○ Conduct market research to identify target audiences, trends, and opportunities for growth.

● Digital Marketing and Social Media Management:
○ Manage and optimize ZODML’s digital presence, including the website and social media platforms.
○ Create and curate compelling content for social media posts, blog articles, newsletters, and other digital channels.
○ Monitor and analyze digital marketing metrics to track performance, identify trends, and optimize campaign effectiveness.

● Brand Management:
○ Maintain ZODML’s brand identity, ensuring consistency across all communication materials and channels.
○ Follow brand guidelines and provide guidance to internal stakeholders to ensure brand adherence.
○ Collaborate with designers and content creators to produce visually appealing and engaging marketing materials.

● Content Creation and Storytelling:
○ Craft compelling stories and messages that effectively communicate ZODML’s impact and inspire action.
○ Create engaging content, such as blog posts, articles, videos, and infographics, to drive engagement and support ZODML’s goals.
○ Collaborate with team members, partners, and beneficiaries to gather impactful stories and testimonials.

● Stakeholder Engagement:
○ Build and nurture relationships with media outlets, influencers, and other key stakeholders to increase ZODML’s visibility and reach.
○ Develop and execute strategies for donor engagement, including acknowledgment campaigns and personalized communications.
○ Collaborate with program teams to ensure effective communication of program updates, success stories, and impact metrics.

Key Skills Required:

● Communication: Excellent communication skills to serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries, communicate updates to internal and external stakeholders, and prepare comprehensive reports documenting project impact and outcomes.
● Marketing Strategy: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute marketing strategies to raise awareness of the organization’s mission, programs, and impact.
● Digital Marketing: Proficiency in managing digital platforms, including websites and social media, and optimizing digital marketing campaigns for increased reach and engagement.
● Content Creation: Strong content creation skills, including crafting compelling stories, blog posts, articles, videos, and infographics to effectively communicate the organization’s impact and engage with the community.
● Creativity: A creative mindset to develop innovative marketing campaigns and promotional activities to drive engagement and support the organization’s goal.
● Relationship Building: Ability to build and nurture relationships with media outlets, influencers, and other key stakeholders to enhance the organization’s visibility and reach.
● Team Collaboration: Capacity to collaborate effectively with team members, consultants, partners, and beneficiaries to gather impactful stories and testimonials.

Additional desired skills:
● Analytical Skills: Capability to monitor and analyze digital marketing metrics to track performance, identify trends, and optimize campaign effectiveness.
● Brand Management: Experience in maintaining brand identity and ensuring consistency across communication materials and channels.
● Market Research: Skill in conducting market research to identify target audiences, trends, and opportunities for growth.
