Job Title: Mobile QA Automation Engineer
We are looking for a SDET specialized in mobile testing (iOS and Android) with proven experience in test automation for native apps. They should have a passion for quality, attention to detail, and mastery of automation frameworks for mobile platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for native mobile applications (iOS and Android).
- Collaborate with developers, PMs, and QAs to define and implement testing strategies.
- Maintain scalable automation frameworks using tools such as Maestro, Espresso, XCUITest, Detox, among others.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, Bitrise).
- Perform code reviews of test scripts.
- Ensure full coverage of automated tests (functional, regression, performance, UI/UX).
- Identify and report defects; collaborate with development to resolve them.
- Clearly and completely document testing processes and results.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
Requirements
- +3 years of experience in software testing (minimum 2 in mobile automation).
- Hands-on experience with native tools like XCUITest (iOS) and Espresso (Android) .
- Basic knowledge of Java, Kotlin and Swift.
- Close collaboration with developers for code inspection and early bug detection.
- Solid understanding of mobile app architecture and its constraints.
- Experience with version control systems (Git).
- Familiarity with emulators, simulators, and platforms such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or Firebase Test Lab.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- English C1 – C2 (Mandatory)
- The device must be  a Mac  and less than 4-5 years old.
Tools and technologies
- XCUITest – for automation on iOS
- Espresso – for automation on Android
- Java, Kotlin, and/or Swift – required programming languages
- Maestro, Detox, XCUITest, Espresso – mobile automation frameworks (mentioned as top ones)
- CI/CD tools :
- Jenkins
- GitLab CI
- CircleCI
- Bitrise
- Git – version control system
Testing platforms on real and virtual devices:
- BrowserStack
- Sauce Labs
- Firebase Test Lab
Desirable
- Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
- Knowledge in API testing (Postman, RestAssured, Karate).
- Knowledge in performance testing (JMeter, Firebase Performance Monitoring).
- Participation in open source mobile automation communities or projects.
