In this rapidly evolving world, Slate is always looking for new ways to disrupt the status quo, go to market faster, and optimize customer experiences. We are currently seeking a dynamic Multimedia Designer to join our core Marketing team to design, develop, and produce compelling graphic & motion content across our social media, website, and external marketing channels. Our current Marketing team includes our Co-Founder/President Eric, Senior Manager of Demand Generation CJ, Customer Growth & Success Coordinator Bailey, and Social & Content Manager Jazz. The ideal candidate will have a background in digital design with professional experience creating high end graphic content for social channels and have superior skills in video editing. We are looking for a digital artist who loves coming up with content ideas & strategies, and will foster an environment of collaboration and creativity. This role is ideal for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset and real-world experience elevating a brand aesthetic through innovative concepts and design. Most importantly, you will be integral to helping us build our brand externally.

You will:

Assist with organizational creative needs including, but not limited to: brand design, promotional materials, sales materials, website designs, motion graphic storytelling, illustrations, social media graphics, video or motion graphic content, and general marketing materials
Take a lead role in producing digital graphic designs for the brand’s visual identity through promotional campaigns across social media and marketing channels for any upcoming product releases
Design and produce attractive multimedia content across social channels
Create and maintain guidelines and standards for how logos, typography, photography, and color palettes should be used and displayed
Ensure consistent styling to reflect Slate branding
Create compelling digital assets that convey the brand identity and design direction
Plan concepts and generate content ideas by consistently studying relevant trending information in social media and digital content
Complete post-production tasks including reviewing footage and making final editing decisions
Explain, articulate, and present your creative ideas thoughtfully in a collaborative space while being open to giving and receiving feedback
Ability to take direction, manage workflow, organize priorities, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and quickly execute creatives that are accurate and consistent
Ability to think independently and formulate creativity that demonstrates an understanding to the brand strategy and applies to all areas of projects
Conceptualize and oversee that the creative design of promotional messaging, product storytelling, or marketing initiatives is compelling and consistent across all customer touchpoints
Prepare and manage relevant files, templates, and assets for all team members
Flexibility to support in other projects as needed



3+ years of full-time experience working in a digital graphic design role creating high volume content for social media
Must be efficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere
Must have video design and editing skills
Strong sense of multimedia content ideas
Thorough understanding of design theory including principles such as color, typography, and composition
Acute attention to detail with a passion to push the envelope in smart and creative ways
Self-motivated person capable of producing original ideas
Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with a global team in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills and comfort level to present work to stakeholders and groups
Must take direction well and can manage all aspects of a project from start to finish
Interest to stay on top of current and upcoming media techniques digital design trends
Ability to generate multiple and distinct on-brand design concepts
Ability to be flexible, prioritize, and meet deadlines within short time frames
Ability to connect remote/virtually
