Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Physician Cardiologist/Neurologist to join our team in Surulere, Lagos. As a Physician Cardiologist and Neurologist, you will be responsible for providing specialized medical care in the fields of cardiology and neurology. Your expertise will contribute to diagnosing, treating, and preventing various cardiovascular and neurological conditions. This role requires on-site work to ensure optimal patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and medical examinations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies.
• Diagnose and develop treatment plans for cardiovascular and neurological conditions.
• Perform specialized procedures and surgeries as necessary.
• Prescribe medications, therapies, and lifestyle modifications.
• Monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Provide patient education regarding disease prevention, management, and lifestyle changes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in cardiology and neurology through continuous professional development.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College, Nigeria in Cardiology and/or Neurology.
• Valid and current medical license in Nigeria.
• Minimum of one year of post-fellowship experience.
• Excellent clinical skills and the ability to handle complex cases.
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular and neurological conditions, diagnostic procedures, and treatment modalities.
• Proficient in interpreting and analyzing diagnostic tests and imaging studies.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to patient care, safety, and confidentiality.

Skill Required

• Expertise in Cardiology and Neurology: Possess comprehensive knowledge and expertise in the fields of cardiology and neurology, including a deep understanding of various cardiovascular and neurological conditions, diagnostic procedures, treatment options, and emerging trends in these specialties.
• Diagnostic and Analytical Skills: Proficient in interpreting and analyzing diagnostic tests, imaging studies, and patient medical history to accurately diagnose and develop effective treatment plans. Strong analytical skills are essential to identify complex patterns and make informed medical decisions.
• Clinical Competence: Demonstrate exceptional clinical competence in performing specialized procedures, surgeries, and interventions relevant to cardiology and neurology. This includes proficiency in catheterization techniques, electrophysiology studies, echocardiography, EEG, EMG, and other related procedures.
• Communication and Patient Care: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, their families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Ability to explain complex medical concepts in a clear and compassionate manner, and provide guidance and support to patients throughout their treatment journey.
• Continuous Learning and Adaptability: Display a commitment to lifelong learning and staying updated with the latest advancements, research, and guidelines in cardiology and neurology. Adaptability to evolving medical practices and technologies is crucial to provide high-quality patient care and deliver optimal outcomes.
