So, you’ve got a technical background and want to make a move into product management?

As a product manager at Cambridge Intelligence, you’ll support the product team across our suite of products, working on a variety of tasks including managing backlogs, prioritising features, and developing compelling demos and collateral to help our marketing team.

What’s involved?

You’ll be taking on a product manager role in an agile development process, maximizing the value of the product by identifying new feature opportunities and developing design requirements. You’ll articulate requirements to the development team and manage the backlog accordingly. Within your product areas, you’ll prioritize features and work with the development manager to unblock issues for the development team, ensuring they are fully and effectively utilised. And you’ll work with our marketing team to ensure our demos, documentation and messaging say all the right things about our latest releases.

RequirementsWho’s the ideal candidate?

This role is ideal for someone looking to make the move to a career in product management or just starting out in that direction. You may have been working in a technical capacity as a software developer, technical author, product designer or sales engineer and want to progress your career by playing a role in shaping product direction. You’re a product-minded person who is acutely aware of the customer experience, with a strong desire to minimize pain points and deliver a great user experience.You might also have experience of

  • Owning or contributing to the delivery of an SDK product
  • Knowledge of data visualization techniques
  • Knowledge of a software language (ideally JavaScript)

You’ll work very closely with the development and marketing teams on a daily basis. You’ll be a strong communicator who enjoys building relationships.
