Production Manager
As the Production Manager, your duty is to ensure a smooth production process.
The ability to accurately interpret a tech pack, draft, and grade patterns is a must.
You must also be able to precisely cut and label cloth pieces according to the pattern drafted.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Overseeing, supervising and managing the different parts of the production process.
Creates weekly production schedule/calender prioritizing jobs to ensure effective delivery
Interpret and produce patterns according to a tech pack.
Supervise the tailors and ensure the orders are produced and packaged in line with our quality control checklist.
Monitoring stock levels and quality of fabric, trim, and all materials required in the production process.
Ensures cost-effectiveness during budgeting for production needs
Ensures customer orders are completed on time and standard quality met
Responsible for all factory equipment and tool maintenance
Supervises and directs tailors to achieve design and clients vision
Responsible for quality control through out production process
Advise customers on the best production process available.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
Monitor productivity rate and keep at peak level
Ensure smooth communication with all departments, providing weekly stats, schedule updates/flags
Research and implement advanced tailoring techniques to achieve stand out results with each project
Oversees selection and procurement of resources/ materials needed to achieve design
Ensure health and safety of staff at all time
In charge of resolving problems within production effectively and promptly
Maintains order and discipline In work environment
Schedule and lead production team meetings monthly
Supervise and motivate team
In charge of recruitment and selection of employees (Tailors) within department
Reviews work performance and identify training needs within staff members
REQUIREMENTS
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to meet multiple deadlines.
Minimum of 3 years experience in fashion production
Must be able understand and interpret designs and sketches
Must be meticulous in keeping production schedule and have great time management skills
Great at record keeping and report documentation
Must have an eye for detail And quality product
In depth knowledge of tailoring and up to date with techniques
In depth knowledge of fabrics and tailoring materials
Understand patterns and freehand sewing techniques
Must be charismatic
Must be able to multitask
An amount of professionalism
Able to work under pressure
Good at managing budgets
HND or Degree Certification in Fashion Design is a plus
Must live within Surulere, Lagos and its environs.
