Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and design RESTful services and APIs
• Apply the latest software design techniques and contribute to the technical design of new
• solutions
• Write object-oriented and maintainable code
• Develop and support high-quality API-centric software solutions
• Drive, influence, and support API quality standards
• Provide technical leadership and coaching to junior team members
• Establish a culture of software craftsmanship best practices, including Test
• Driving/Automation, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment
• Engage in Agile software development activities, including sprint planning, daily
• standups, retrospectives, and hackathons
• Experience with any of the following Agile development processes: Acceptance Test
• Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Test Automation, Pair programming skills
• 2+ years of experience in API/web service development using Python
• Experience with AWS, Lamada
• Experience with Security frameworks (e.g., JWT, OAUTH2)
• Experience in API layers like security, custom analytics, throttling, caching, logging, and
• monetization
• Proficient in SQL and Stored Procedures using MySQL or POSTGRESQL
• Experience with Unix, and Linux Operating Systems
• Experience with Scrum and other Agile processes.
• Bit of Knowledge of encryption
• Experience in creating REST API documentation using Swagger and YAML or similar
• tools
• Experience with unit testing and integration frameworks
• Experience with application monitoring and performance analysis
• Preferences
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Located close to Victoria Island Lagos Nigeria
