Research Assistant

Decentralization is an important part of the future. You shouldn’t need to be convinced but you can read this.

It’s important that as a local crypto community, we build skillsets and expertise across multiple domains: Deep Math, Cryptography, Crypto protocol development, smart contracts, crypto applications, UX improvements, Game theory and Finance.

The goal is to find exceptionally brilliant individuals who are excited to learn about the intersection of these fields and who can apply these skills to generate deep insights, thesis and opportunities about the global and local crypto space.

To apply, please submit your email address, bio data and a Github link with your answers to the following questions https://forms.gle/tFG3refSExyAvGL26

  1. Finance:
    • Please read this article and this explainer and pretty much anything you can find on the internet to help you better understand Bitcoin Futures. Then write a short ~500 words article about why the arbitrage opportunity from the Bloomberg article arose; also mention how one might go about taking advantage of the arbitrage opportunity if they had about $1 million startup capital; and using data available in the public domain, give real examples of the kind of returns an investor could have made if they engaged in this futures arbitrage over the last 2 weeks.
    • Please read extensively about Bitcoin Futures because questions around this will probably come up during your interview 🙂

2. Computer Science

  • Modular multiplicative inverse is an important part of any cryptographic implementation. Write a code that calculates the Modular multiplicative inverse of a number using the Euclidean Algorithm? Please write this in Rust. Please heavily comment your code so it provides a lot of explainer to someone who has experience programming but is new to Rust and the Euclidean Algorithm
  • Of course you have to do a quick learning of Rust 😉
