As we begin our expansion into permanent physical stores, we are looking for a Retail Manager for our first location in Ikoyi, Lagos.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Managing the day-to-day operations in the retail locations and analyzing results
• Managing sales, orders, salon + customer service staff
• Managing staff timetables
• Aiding in developing new structures and processes
• Assisting in executing KA sales + marketing strategy
• Liaising + networking with a range of stakeholders: senior management, suppliers, colleagues + partner organizations,
In summary, the main aim of the role is to ensure the smooth running of our retail store, addressing/troubleshooting problems as they arise, managing staff and effectively communicating store activities to the Founder and other senior management.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following non-negotiable characteristics: • Previous experience managing a retail team (we will follow up on references)
• A “people person” – someone who can get on with junior staff, senior management and customers alike
• A problem solver who doesn’t just burden management with issues, but can think through and present potential solutions
• A team player who truly wants to see the business succeed
• Demonstrable professionalism and ambition, with an extremely strong work ethic
• The ability to think on your feet without requiring constant instructions or validation
• Excellent communication skills (both spoken and written)
• Strong organizational, people + time management skills, with the ability to multi task
• Attention to detail
• Self-discipline, a strong work ethic + trustworthiness
