Role overview
We are looking for an organised, confident, reliable, enthusiastic and talented Revenue Accountant with financial, bookkeeping and accounting experience who can actively contribute to our operations in Nigeria.
The Revenue Accountant role will encompass accounts payable management, budgeting and bookkeeping procedures and managing employee expenses. You will also be responsible for setting up bank payments and reconciling bank accounts daily.
The ideal candidate will be competent, organised, self-motivated, trustworthy and can prioritize work. They will also be articulate and able to engage confidently with Elephant’s clients and related stake holders. Finally the Revenue Accountant will be able to support our Operations Manager and ensure the smooth running of Elephant’s office and teams, which is a critical success factor to Elephant’s sustainable growth.
Requirements
As Revenue Accountant , you will be required to conduct the following:
- Implementation of cash collection mechanisms in facilities that Elephant Healthcare Operating System operates.
- Identifying and negotiating with partners/banks on monetary management inventions
- Reconciling all revenue remittances to bank statements and to the number of patients registered on Elephant OS, identifying and reporting on collection and leakage rates.
- Computation and Remittance of partners shares relating to revenue incentive schemes
- Preparing and presenting revenue collections report within in the stipulated
- Key finance business partner for the Operations department
- Day-to-day book-keeping using Xero (online accounts system)
- Enhancing tax compliance
- Implementing and overseeing internal controls and procedures
- Support in preparing the Management Accounts each month.
- Any other allocated duties
Skills, attributes and experience

Desired attributes include:
- Degree educated in finance, accounting or a relevant field and professional accounting training is essential;
- Proven experience as an Internal auditor, Senior accountant, Revenue Assurance or other related roles for 5 to 8 years;
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software preferably Xero
- Knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards
- Good working knowledge of MS Office and Google Drive/Sheets/Docs
