About the Opportunity

We need a Sales and Customer Acquisition Volunteer to help us reach out to potential customers (tech startups) and close sales (sign up to a subscription plan). The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring new customers through outbound and inbound inquiries.This opportunity is suited for anyone who want to learn and practice sales skills. Perhaps you are in marketing and have always wanted to move to sales, but never had the opportunity. Now you can try it out without jeopardizing your current job.

Our needs

• Fluent in English – both written and spoken.
• Undergraduate degree or similar education.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Have excellent persuasion skills.
• Ability to be responsive within a remote work setting.
• Dabbling with (previous experience) sales is a big plus.
• Excellent record keeping.
• Ability to thrive independently and as part of a team.
• Organizational skills, including prioritizing, time management, and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism.

Activities

Working with the head of Sales and Marketing, your Volunteer role will include all or a selection of:

• Prospecting – identifying tech startups and reaching out to decision-makers.
• Communicate ideas and solutions effectively in order to maintain positive, ongoing business relationships and customer service.
• Demonstrating product and service.
• Converting
• Documents all activities.
• Provides Team Lead with a timely update.
• Other related job duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Post-sales support including handing over to support team.

You have significant freedom to evolve within your role. Challenge the existing systems and processes and continually improve them.

Acquired Work Experience and Skills

You will gain experience and skills towards a career in Customer Acquisition and Sales. You will also gain demonstrable evidence that could help you with career prospects.
