Senior Frontend Developer
Job Purpose
The Senior Frontend Developer will work with a team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of our web applications (internal and user facing). And work closely with other app development and technical teams
Job Responsibilities
- Design and build advanced applications for the platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Work with outside data sources and APIs
- Craft code that meets our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment. Maintain and advocate for these standards through code review.
- Consistently ship small features and improvements with minimal guidance and support from other team members. Collaborate with the team on larger projects.
- Help improve the overall experience of our product through improving the quality of the Frontend features.
- Help identify areas of improvements in the code base and help contribute to make it better
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
Requirements
Special Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, HND, OND degree or equivalent training in Computer Science, Computer engineering, Software engineering or a related field 5+ years of professional app development experience
- Proven software development experience.
- Understanding of JavaScript Frameworks and Libraries
- Proficient in React Framework (ReactNative is significant).
- Proficiency in search engine optimization.
- In depth knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Deep understanding of version control systems like GIT
- Leadership skills to manage and mentor the team.
- Expert at API Integration
- Experience with building and publishing of NPM modules
- A solid understanding of SWR and React Query is a fantastic addition
