Senior Frontend Engineer

At Jokedao

We are looking to solve crypto’s biggest barrier: making human coordination fun. as a result, we’re looking for a top tier frontend dev, as the third member of our team, with a background in UI/UX and design as well.

What are we looking for :

~ expertise in Typescript, Next.js, Tailwind, and web3 frontend libraries like wagmi and the libraries used in this repository: https://github.com/JokeDAO/JokeDaoV2Dev
~ excellent testing and debugging skills
~ background in UI/UX and design with opportunities to have input on designing for users
~ big-picture thinking about defaults, labels, error messages, etc. that we need when implementing designs
~ background in animation, gameplay, and simply making sites that *delight* people
~ background in building projects independently 0-1
~ actively expanding diversity of perspective on our team: we want to all be able to learn from each other, push each other, and expand our perspectives
~ readiness to be part of a 3-person team that comes with a lot of responsibility and autonomy
~ entrepreneurial interest in learning what it’s like to build a startup from the ground-up
~ looking to build for years, with potential to scale up role if we expand team
~ user-centric focus in thinking how we design a product for a wide array of users who can vary from adult content creators to DeFi protocols, from crypto-native communities to people who have little interest in crypto at all
~ initiative to communicate concerns, feedback, ideas, and need for boundaries and breaks
~ intellectual inquisitiveness about the entire, rapidly changing crypto ecosystem
~ likes jokes, especially bad jokes
