Senior Lived Experience Manager
Are you passionate about building high performing, inclusive teams? Would you like to play a pivotal role in ensuring that the experiences of people living with cancer are at the heart of Macmillan? If so, this could be the role for you.
About the role
At Macmillan we’re embarking on a journey to more intentionally build relationships with communities who experience cancer, to work with them directly to shape our long-term priorities. We recognise that providing an equal seat at the table for those with lived experiences is critical to the quality and legitimacy of our work.
You’ll manage the team who are already making participation a reality in Macmillan, working with a range of stakeholders, including people living with cancer, to ensure we are being robust and authentic in our engagement. From championing lived experience internally to building processes that work for all our stakeholders to supporting the team that deliver great outcomes while maintaining their wellbeing, this is an exciting role for a passionate people manager.
About you
You’ll have the ability to inspire a team within an evolving context with clear, achievable, yet ambitious objectives, while maintaining a focus on morale and wellbeing. Comfortable with developing processes and taking a continuous improvement approach to ways of working, you’re also someone who enjoys working with a range of stakeholders, an assured negotiator, flexible to changing needs and are driven to get to the best answer, not the easiest.
We’d love you to have experience on embedding genuine experience of co-production or participation, with a knowledge of how to consider equity within this, but if not a desire and commitment to learning and make this core to your approach will be essential.
