Social Media Coordinator

The Lagoon School is the first project of the Nigerian Association for Women’s Advancement (NAWA), a not-for-profit and non-governmental educational and social trust dedicated to investing in the girl child for the good of society. This school responds to the high demand for a school that upholds virtues and creates an avenue where teachers can collaborate with parents in their most crucial role of educating their children.

About the Role

This role is an exciting opportunity to work with this great organization that fosters a family ambience. The person in this role will manage the school’s social media platforms and create engaging interaction with stakeholders.

What will you do?

  • Research audience preferences and discover current trends in attracting prospective clients.
  • Create and share the proposed content and posting schedule monthly, considering web traffic and engagement metrics.
  • Be responsible for the materials required for content creation and posting, including documents, pictures, videos.
  • Create engaging text, images, and video content that showcase a positive image of the school.
  • Design posts to sustain readers’ curiosity and create buzz around events in the school.
  • Measure web traffic and monitor Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness.
  • Train identified staff to use social media in a cohesive and beneficial way
  • Facilitate online conversations with customers and respond to inquiries
  • Escalate critical inquiries to the Vice Principal, General Education
  • Report on online reviews and feedback from current and potential clients.
  • Oversee all social media accounts’ layout as well as print publications.
  • Suggest new ways to attract prospective customers
  • All other duties assigned.

About You

  • You have Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • You have a minimum of 2 years of work as a social media coordinator, content creator, and account manager.

Skills and Competencies

  • Professional and articulate
  • Expertise in multiple social media platforms
  • In-depth knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image, and video)
  • Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels
  • Ability to gasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Multitasking and analytical skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.

Preferred

· Experience working with educational firms

· Experience working with social impact organizations or not-for-profits.
