Social Media Officer

The job’s focus is on increasing brand awareness and promotion through the effective and expert use of social media outlet platforms and tools. The Social Media Officer will use posts, fliers. comments and replies to engage our audience and develop a relatable company voice.

The duties include the following:

1. Work closely with the Administrator/COO on the creation of events, social media calendars, scheduled posts, for the company’s growth and awareness.

2. Use social media marketing tools to create and maintain the company’s brand.

3. Regularly post texts, fliers, images, videos, and more daily – not less than 3 times a day.

4. Manage and update the company’s website with the latest information, news, and images.

5. Design fliers, logos, company portfolios, letter-headed papers, business cards, ID cards, for the company as the need arises.

6. Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies.

7. Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization.

8. Develop, implement and manage our social media strategy, marketing plans, and campaigns.

9. Analyze the company’s digital marketing plan and social media strategy, identify strategic weaknesses and make recommendations for improvements.

10. Interact with customers and other stakeholders via the company’s social media accounts.

11. Use social media marketing tools such as Buffer, MailChimp, etc.

12. Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network.

13. Research social media trends and inform management of changes that are relevant to the company’s marketing activities.

14. Set key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media campaigns, such as targets for a certain number of shares or likes, and measure a campaign’s performance against the KPIs.

15. Measure the success of every social media campaign.

16. Provide Constructive feedback.

17. Present to Senior management.

18. Attend educational conferences.

19. Adhere to rules and regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

1. A portfolio containing his/her works must be provided.

2. A degree or certifications in advertising, marketing, sales, customer service, journalism, or public relations.

3. Must have 3 to 5 years experience as a social media officer, specialist, or similar role.

4. Must be an excellent content creator, writer, and editor.

5. Social Media Strategist using social media for brand awareness and impressions

6. Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+, and other social media best practices.

7. Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics.

8. Experience with doing audience and buyer persona research.

9. Good understanding of social media KPIs.

10. Familiarity with web design and publishing.

11. Experienced graphics designer.

12. Additional experience in content marketing, blogging, and website basic profile coding.

13. A medical background or previous experience in a medical company is an added advantage.
