About the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Software Developer to be part of a team responsible for creating and delivering outstanding software experiences to clients in an Abuja based Firm. He/She must be able to work with equal proficiency as part of a group and autonomously on a variety of dynamic projects with changing priorities; Develop, test and deploy new applications and services; troubleshoot and maintain existing systems in order to keep code synced, current and accessible using source control.

Key Requirements

a. Applicant must be a holder of a good degree in computer science or its equivalent.

b. Must have at least 1 – 3 years professional experience in website design, hosting, maintenance and updating, management of database, programming, building complex commercial, enterprise PHP (Laravel, CODEIGNITER or both), CSS, JS and MySQL.

c. A motivation for personal practice: test-driven development.

d. A love for simple, clear, bullet proof-code and elegant solutions.

e. An obsession with eliminating bad code; a strong need to re-factor badly written code before inserting personalised lines.

f. Proven track record with PHP 7.3 and above; working with Restful APIs.

g. Experience with properly indexing tables, optimising queries across multiple large tables and writing complicated queries (MySQL)

h. Resides in Abuja

i. Good communication skills and presentation skills

j. Good judgment to juggle between quick-fixes and long-term solutions.

k. Love for coding and technology, desire to learn new technologies.
