About the job
Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify industry trends, market opportunities, and competitive landscape.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine business strategies and initiatives.
Contribute to the preparation of action plans for identified areas of improvement.
Design/select data gathering approaches and instruments, including mix of qualitative and quantitative information, and primary and secondary sources.
Communicating and monitoring the implementation of the strategies of the company.
Translate the entity’s strategic direction and objectives into plans, programs, and initiatives, and track the achievement of set targets and milestones.
Conduct frequent research and analysis of macro, industry, and competitive trends across the globe to distil key strategic learnings for internal growth and development.
Communicate qualitative recommendations to relevant business units on potential strategic opportunities.
Identify operational improvement opportunities and recommend initiatives to close gaps.
Conduct analysis across the company’s operational footprint and communicate implications and recommendations to the management team.
Monitor and stay abreast of industry, national and global developments, and events to ensure the company can maintain and sharpen its strategic positioning.
Conduct analysis to assess business performance and to monitor risk.
Prepare communication reports and disseminate to internal stakeholders regularly.
Perform comprehensive financial analysis, including financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Evaluate and monitor financial performance metrics, identify areas of improvement, and make recommendations for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to stakeholders, highlighting key findings and insights.
Assist in developing business cases, financial models, and risk assessments to evaluate the financial viability of investment opportunities.
Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate business performance against targets and benchmarks.
Develop and implement reporting mechanisms to provide regular updates on KPIs and financial performance.
Identify trends, patterns, and potential risks or opportunities, and recommend actions to optimize performance.
Collaborate with various departments, including finance, operations, marketing, and sales, to gather data and insights for analysis.
Support cross-functional projects by providing financial and strategic analysis, contributing to decision-making processes.
Technical Competencies
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
Proficiency in financial software, advanced Microsoft Excel, and data visualization tools.
Solid understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and financial statements.
Excellent PowerPoint and presentation skills
Basic skills in data analysis tools and techniques such as statistical analysis, data visualization, and predictive modeling.
Capacity for strategic thinking to grasp the organization’s broader perspective and develop a long-term vision.
Understanding of the financial services business models and industry trends.
Understanding of financial performance measurement.
Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and products to analyze market trends and identify new opportunities for innovative financial solutions.
Advanced analytical skills and the ability to employ data in making strategic decisions.
Basic understanding of the use Project management tools to track and monitor progress of multiple and complex projects and initiatives, ensuring completion within the given timeframe and budget.
Education Qualification and Work Experience
Bachelors degree from a reputable university in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or other related field.
Minimum of 2 years’ relevant working experience in Financial Advisory or Strategy in Big 4 Management Consulting or PE firms.
Experience in strategic planning, business analysis, financial analysis and modelling, and project management.
Experience of transforming raw data into actionable management insights.
Experience working across cross-functional teams.
