Supply Chain, Manager

SCOPE OF WORK

In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring that Jetstream’s supply chain is operating efficiently and effectively to meet the demands of the business. You will lead a team responsible to deliver end-to-end supply chain solutions that meet the needs of our clients, leveraging technology and data to drive efficiency and cost savings. You’ll produce supply chain recommendations and solutions, process shipments, and develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and vendors. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations performance, including freight forwarding, customs brokerage, warehousing, and transportation, proactively addressing any issues

• Develop and implement data-driven supply chain strategies that optimize costs, improve efficiency, and enhance customer service

• Leverage data and technology to optimize the supply chain operations of customers scaling regionally in Africa

• Coordinate with internal teams, including sales, operations and customer service to ensure that client needs are met and that all supply chain activities are executed seamlessly

• Collaborating with Jetstream’s technology teams to develop and implement digital solutions that improve supply chain visibility and tracking

• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure the best prices, quality, and delivery times

• Ensure compliance with local and international regulations related to trade and customs

• Analyze supply chain data and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings

• Manage a team of supply chain professionals to ensure high-quality service delivery to clients

Requirements

MUST HAVES

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field

• +5 years of experience in global supply chain management in Africa, with a track record of success in improving supply chain efficiency and reducing costs

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Experience in managing a team of supply chain professionals

• Knowledge of supply chain management software and systems

• Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory requirements related to supply chain management
