We are building a social platform that utilizes AI to generate and train content for African language speakers. The company seeks to build a scalable media experience for hundreds of millions of African users coming online seeking content in their language.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of backend and mobile applications in React Native and Node.js.
• Set the technical vision and strategy for the company.
• Architect and guide integration of LLM’s with team of AI engineers
• Build best practices for the foundation of a world-class startup.
• Drive rapid adoption of the product to 100,000+ users.
• Co-create the ‘innovation engine’ of the company to rapidly build, measure, and learn based on business needs.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in React Native and Node.js development.
• Passion for AI and its applications in the tech industry.
• Previous experience as a co-founder or in an early startup environment.
• Python experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of full-stack development and cloud platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and also collaboratively in a team.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members.
• Experience with MongoDB, AWS, Azure for AI, and DevOps.
