Technical Lead Engineer Key Responsibilities

As a Technical Lead Engineer at SunDevs, you will be balancing your time on coding, leadership duties, task management, and guiding both the team and the project to success.

Participate actively in product discovery activities with ideas that help your product manager and product designer discover a strong solution – “How“ – to some of the business challenges.

Bring your technical knowledge and expertise to support your team in solving complex technical problems.

Effective communication skills that allow you to communicate actively with team members, other departments and stakeholders to convey technical concepts, project updates, and potential challenges.

Bring your Architectural Design knowledge and experience for helping to design highly available and scalable distributed systems that align with our customer’s business objectives.

To establish coding standards and conduct rigorous code reviews to maintain high-quality codebase integrity.

Mentoring junior developers, aiding their growth through pairing, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.

Organize projects, manage tasks, and uphold deadlines while aligning with business priorities.

Troubleshooting complex technical challenges, offering innovative solutions, and guiding the team in implementing them.

Document architectural decisions and technical information, facilitating knowledge sharing and project continuity.

Identify potential risks and take measures to mitigate them, ensuring project success and stability.

To participate in meetings with clients and external stakeholders, addressing concerns and offering insights.

Participate in a 1: 1 meeting with the rest of your team.

Provide timely feedback to your team.

Participate in the definition of the Product OKRs for your team.

Support the adoption of the DevOps culture within the company, according to the guide of The DevOps Handbook of the engineering area.

Support in the adoption of the Strong Product Teams methodology within the company, according to the guide of The Product Team Handbook of the engineering area.

Participate in the 360 Feedback Survey for the team members

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software or System Engineering, or equivalent practical experience in a software-related field.

English Level B2 or superior, You will also be working on a team, mostly composed of people from Latin America, so Spanish is important

+5 years of software engineering experience +3 years of experience developing cloud computing applications using AWS (Lambda + API Gateway).

+4 years of experience developing web applications using popular web frameworks such as React.js, Node.js, Next.js, Nest.js, serverless frameworks, etc.

+4 years of experience designing and developing database models in database engines such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, MySql, Redis, etc.

Wide understanding of the software development process from coding to release applications to production.

Experience designing and developing microservices.

Experience working with serverless and Event-Driven Architectures.

Be Outcome Focused – Objective and Key Results (OKR)

Key Performance Indicators KPI Have one or more Cloud Computing Certifications level associate or professional from Cloud Computing providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Experience leading teams with more than 5 team members.

Wide understanding of designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for web and mobile apps.
