Job Description
About This Role
We need a Technical Writer to help us deliver high-quality technical marketing materials – blogs, product support information and documentation- to our clients.
Companies come to us because we offer them a system to consistently create great, on-brand writing and social media content, with little oversight. We need someone who will take charge of making sure clients stay continuously wowed by both our output and work ethic.
Primary Responsibilities
- Write for a variety of audiences, from non-technical end users to programmers, system administrators, and integrators.
- Oversee peer editing and production review work.
- Integrate use case(s) and functional data into user documentation and examples.
- Learn complex concepts, and communicate the information in a way that is engaging and understood by users.
- Gather customer feedback on documentation to improve usability.
- Act as an editor to help maintain and push our standards for quality.
- Define and monitor metrics that quantify the usefulness of produced content, as well as direct customer feedback to improve service delivery.
Preferred Experience
- 2-4 years’ industry experience as an effective technical writer.
- A positive attitude, proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics.
- Previous experience writing documentation and procedural materials for multiple audiences.
- Experience working cross-departmentally to communicate the nuts and bolts of a product.
- Strong experience owning an end-to-end documentation creation process.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work in a way that effectively carries stakeholders along.
- Experience working with the following tools preferred: Git & Github, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
