Instructure’s Professional Services team is looking for a skilled user interface and user experience designer.  This role will work closely with our UI/UX, Solutions Consultants and customers to iterate and prototype new projects based on customer needs.  You will play a crucial role in aligning Professional Services UI/UX with Instructure standards, while also using creativity to design unique solutions and experiences.

What you will do:

• • Work with customers to create wireframes and mockups for web applications
  • Create consistent user experience and design across custom applications
  • Create interactive mockups of responsive designs to be presented to clients and their stakeholders
  • Understand Instructure design standards and bring same quality and approach to custom applications
  • Engage in user research activities with our customers
  • Help clients achieve better user experience solutions by helping them recognize and understand the needs of their stakeholders
  • Produce high-quality designs in a quick, iterative fashionExecute design from initial concept to final handoff to engineering

What you’ll need to know/have:

• • 3+ years of UX and UI design experience
  • Self-motivated with a passion for design
  • Understanding of design principles and best practices
  • Understanding of user accessibility standards
  • Discipline to follow an established design style guide and pattern library
  • Creativity and ability to design new elements and functions when needed
  • Ability to keep projects within scopeAbility to maintain a keen attention to detail while adhering to project deadlines
  • Ability to adapt and iterate rapidly and decisively to create high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
  • Familiarity with industry standard design software for responsive prototyping with the ability to adapt to new software and systems
  • Experience with HTML and CSS
  • Ability to both give and receive constructive feedback
  • Ability to thoughtfully explain design decisions and solutions
  • User research experience desired
  • Ability to be mindful of a project’s overall view in order to maintain consistent and intuitive user experiences
  • A digital portfolio of your best work demonstrating rock-solid experience in information architecture and interaction design.
