UX Copywriter

About the role

Reporting to the Copy Lead (currently on maternity), you’ll work with Product Managers and Product Designers to create excellent copy and content for our apps and website. You’ll be expected to champion our tone of voice and ensure our style guide and UX best practices are always adhered to.

You’ll be responsible for our UX copy across different products and platforms, collaborating with various stakeholders across the business, such as brand, copywriting, research, product, legal, risk and compliance. Working alongside other content journey teams  (Creative Copy, Product Design, Content Management, and Localisation), you’ll be responsible for the UX content journey, collaborating with your peers to create an engaging, effective and on-brand international copy that will help hundreds of thousands of people support their families and friends.

Please note that this is a remote-first, full-time role, operating Monday to Friday, from 9 am until 6 pm.

As a UX Copywriter, you will: 

  • Create UX copy for our products and services, writing content for our apps and online channels, including emails, articles, FAQs and web descriptions
  • Communicate with various stakeholders across the business, managing their expectations and accommodating their feedback
  • Offer a perspective on the UX writing strategy throughout the product development and design process, incorporating research, data, marketing and Customer Care inputs
  • Be accountable for UX copy across web and mobile platforms, its best-in-class quality and efficiency
  • Maintain copy consistency across platforms, topics, and touchpoints, while striving for its continuous improvement
  • Champion our brand guidelines and tone of voice, as well as UX and accessibility best practices

What we’re looking for from you

  • 3-5 years’ professional UX writing and editing experience for the web and mobile, as well as comms, landing pages, articles, and product descriptions in a similar role (e.g. UX writer / content designer, content strategist, information architect, or similar)
  • Contributions to product and design strategy to help set up frameworks and brainstorm potential solutions, considering all the parts of the user journey
  • Resourcefulness, flexibility and effectiveness in  prioritising your work
  • Proven ability to be a self-starter and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Keen understanding of the creative process, as writing creative copy for marketing and social channels is a plus
