Workday Analyst – People Systems

About the role

Partnering with the People team, you will ensure both the effective day-to-day operation and providing of system improvements to the Workday HCM platform in order to support our colleagues at Worldremit. You will collaborate closely with the People & Finance Teams to focus on delivering maintenance and system enhancements to the configuration of Workday. You will gather requirements, analyse work process design and flow, improve processes, and leverage the return on Workday capabilities with a key emphasis on scalability and resilience.

Reporting to the IT Director, you will:

  • Be the Workday subject matter expert for day-to-day support of business processes, reporting, and dashboards
  • Partner with our People and Finance  teams and other internal stakeholders to help them define business requirements, implement, test, and deploy additional Workday functionality and changes to business processes (Where applicable, working with external suppliers/contractors)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system support issues
  • Identify system gaps and deficiencies and suggest best practice
  • Provide training and documentation as required
  • Work with Security to manage security re-assignments, user access and permissions, and integrations-related security issues.
  • Support and testing for Workday system updates or upgrades
  • Identify long-term improvement roadmaps to ensure compatibility with evolving business landscape and needs

What we’re looking for from you

  • Support and Configuration knowledge of Workday modules, HCM, Compensation, Time, Absence, Expenses, Reporting, and Security
  • Workday security principles and practical implementation
  • Experience of system/platform integrations with Workday
  • Experience with WorkDay reporting
  • Basic project management and business analysis principles and methodologies
  • Knowledge and experience of functional HR and business processes
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business requirements or objectives
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to set clear expectations with stakeholders and escalate issues as needed
