£500 Business Scholarship for Future Entrepreneurs (UK & US Students) – 1st Formations 2026 

Overview

The 1st Formations Business Scholarship 2026 is designed to support the next generation of entrepreneurs by providing financial assistance to undergraduate and postgraduate students studying in the UK or US. The scholarship helps students with study-related costs while encouraging them to develop practical, real-world business ideas they hope to pursue during or after their studies.

Eligibility

You are eligible if you:

• Hold an offer from, or are currently studying at, a recognised UK or US academic institution

• Are enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree

• Have a business idea you intend to pursue during or after your studies

• Can demonstrate financial need

Benefits

• £500 bursary (≈ $750) per recipient

• Up to 5 students will be awarded

• Funds can be used for:

  • Course materials

  • Textbooks

  • Living or study-related expenses

Application Requirements

Submit an email application including:

1. 500-word Supporting Statement explaining:

   • One business idea you plan to pursue

   • Your personal circumstances and need for financial support

2. Incoming students: Copy of your offer letter

3. Current students:

   • Letter of recommendation from a current tutor or course coordinator

   • Sponsor’s contact email or phone number

4. Recent grades/exam results from your current course

Selection Criteria

Applications are assessed based on:

• Quality and clarity of your business idea

• Demonstrated financial need

• Strength of academic recommendation (if applicable)

• Academic performance

• Winners Announced: 27 February 2026

• Scholarship Awarded: Shortly after the announcement
