Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Hold an offer for a distance learning MSc at LSHTM for 2026–27 by 27 March 2026

• Be first-generation students (neither parent/guardian obtained a university degree before the applicant turned 18)

• Not already hold a Master’s degree or higher

• Be enrolling in an MSc (PG Cert/Diploma not eligible)

Priority consideration given to applicants who are:

• Black

• Care experienced

• Care givers

• Disabled

• Estranged from family

• Refugees or asylum seekers

Application Deadline

• Offer deadline: 27 March 2026

• Scholarship decisions: Week commencing 11 May 2026

• Apply for an eligible distance learning MSc via the LSHTM Admissions Portal

• No separate scholarship application required

• Eligible offer holders will be contacted with the next steps after 27 March 2026

Additional Notes / Requirements

• Evidence of meeting offer conditions (including English language requirements) due by 1 July 2026

• The deposit deadline will be automatically extended for eligible scholarship candidates
