Hey!!  Update Your CV Like a Pro. HERE are Tips from an Experienced Recruiter

Data Engineer at Cutover, Remote (United Kingdom)

We’re looking for a Data Engineer to help us rebuild and scale our data platform as we grow our customer base in 2026 and beyond. This is a hands-on role where you’ll own core parts of our data pipeline, collaborate closely with engineering and cloud teams, and help shape how data is used across the business—including enabling future AI and LLM-powered internal use cases.

What will you be doing as our Data Engineer

  • Evolve our data pipelines to scale reliably as we onboard an increasing number of clients
  • Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT processes using Fivetran, dbt, and AWS-native tools
  • Work closely with our cloud and engineering teams to recommend and implement software that supports AI and LLM use cases on our data lake
  • Integrate data from a wide range of systems (product, operational, and third-party) into a trusted analytics layer
  • Partner with stakeholders across the company to understand data needs and deliver clear, usable data models and insights
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across our warehouse and analytics stack

What we’d like you to bring to the table…

  • A strong interest in data engineering and a passion for collecting, storing, transforming, and modeling data for real-world use
  • Experience transforming data so it can be consumed by stakeholders across product, operations, and leadership
  • Approximately 2–4 years of experience in a data engineering or analytics engineering role (we value skills and impact over exact timelines)
  • Hands-on experience with PythonPostgreSQL and Amazon Redshift
  • Experience working with AWSdbt, and modern ELT tools
  • Comfort learning and adopting new technologies for data collection, transformation, and visualization as our stack evolves
  • Experience pulling data from multiple sources and making it available in tools like Looker and emerging LLM-based interfaces

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with product or SaaS data
  • Experience working with IaC
  • Familiarity with data observability, monitoring, or logging tools
  • Exposure to AI/ML or LLM-enabled analytics use cases

Why Join Cutover?

  • Help shape and scale a modern data platform at a growing SaaS company
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and influence how data is used company-wide
  • Be part of a collaborative, pragmatic engineering culture with room to grow
  • Play a key role in enabling the next generation of data and AI capabilities at Cutover

More good stuff…

  • We’re excited to offer Share Options as part of our compensation package.
  • 25 days of PTO per year + public holidays, and we want you to take all of them!
  • 3 volunteer days to use for any charitable/voluntary cause you would like.
  • A top-tier private health insurance package.
  • Aviva pension scheme.
  • Work from home stipends
  • personal learning and development budget through Learnerbly. You’ll be supported in your quest for knowledge, whatever that looks like to you.
  • If you’re thinking of starting or growing your family, then you’ll be in great company – more than half of our team are parents and we’ve built a globally consistent parental leave approach that we’re proud of.
  • Employee Referral Scheme.
  • Safeguarding the mental health of our teams is paramount for us. If you’d like to, then you’ll be able to avail yourself of multiple Cutover mental health initiatives, from fully subsidized therapy sessions to subscriptions to leading wellbeing platforms.

Target compensation package: £55,000-65,000 + stock options

The final offer may vary from the target compensation package, taking into consideration factors such as your experience level and skill set.  If we aren’t aligned on salary at this stage, we’d still love to hear from you to better understand if there are more suitable opportunities at Cutover.

Diversity Statement – Empowering Our Teams

We encourage our team to bring their authentic selves to work, which we have found has strengthened workplace relationships and fostered a genuine sense of community.

If you are excited by this role, we invite you to apply! Even if your profile doesn’t check all the boxes, please don’t simply scroll past! We recognize that talent lies everywhere and that some demographic groups are more likely to apply for a “stretch role” than others. We are always open to different perspectives and professional backgrounds to keep Cutover’s culture evolving and to ensure that we never stop learning.
