HR Generalist at AdaptHealth, Remote (Global)
The HR Generalist role is responsible for the Human Resource daily support of assigned HR Field Teams within
AdaptHealth. Oversee various HR functional areas and projects to strengthen the breadth of their experience delivering
on HR initiatives and contributing to the overall HR function.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
- Enters and updates employee data into the HRIS and audits data for accuracy.
- Reviews and processes HR tickets for employee status changes, etc.
- Maintains compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards by ensuring employee requirements are up-to-date and not expired (i.e., licensure, certifications, medical requirements, competencies, etc.)
- Continuously increase both HR knowledge and HRIS application/tools knowledge
- Organize, file, and maintain all employee personnel files, ensuring accuracy of records.
- Update current employee profiles in HRIS system to reflect the most accurate and up to date information,
- including but not limited to, rate, management, position, and work status changes.
- Ensure all new hire employees have HRIS profiles created prior to hire date with all accurate new employee
- information.
- Follow up with new hires to ensure all onboarding has been attended and completed upon hire date with
- AdaptHealth.
- Communicate with new hires, when appropriate, to ensure all questions regarding paperwork and the background
- and/or drug screen processes are completed in a timely manner.
- Responsible for ensuring all new hire documents are added to the appropriate personnel file as completed.
- Assists with recruitment and interview process.
- Prepares offer letters and documentation for employee changes.
- Composes separation agreements and processes subsequent severance package payouts.
- Reviews and processes HR tickets for employee status changes, etc.
- Ensure that all benefit submissions made by new hire employees are submitted and approved.
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of current products and services offered by the company.
- Sensitive to highly confidential human resources and benefits information
- Maintain patient confidentiality and function within the guidelines of HIPAA.
- Maintains compliance with Personal Identifiable Information (PII), Financial Information (DDI), and Electronic
- Protected Health Information (ePHI) guidelines.
- Ensures confidentiality of all sensitive data including employee and company information.
- Completes assigned compliance training and other educational programs as required.
- Maintains compliance with AdaptHealth’s Corporate Compliance Program and applicable company policies,
- procedures, and patient protocols.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Strong written and verbal communications
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
- Strong analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills with attention to details
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Solid ability to learn new technologies and possess the technical aptitude required to understand flow of data
- through systems as well as system interaction
Requirements
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalency is required.
- Two (2) years related experience is required and may be general clerical experience.
- Exact experience considered is Executive Administrative Assistant or Administrative Assistant.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Work environment will be stressful at times, as overall office activities and work levels fluctuate.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, stretch, stand, and sit for extended periods of time.
- Subject to long periods of sitting and exposure to computer screen.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and/or fingers due to extensive computer use.
- Metal ability to function in a fast-paced work environment.
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds as needed.
- May be exposed to angry or irate customers.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with internal and external customers with the ability to
- demonstrate empathy, compassion, courtesy, and respect for privacy.
