Software QA Engineer

Responsibilities
- Create and maintain test plans for various microservices and frontend applications
- Write automated unit tests for both APIs and frontend applications
- Keep automated test coverage of all APIs to at least 80%
- Analyze algorithms and provide a detailed written analysis
- Document, evaluate, track, and report testing results
- Analyze and validate automated performance results
- Participate in the development of quality assurance standards and processes
- Identify clear and concise reproduction steps for defects
- Perform creative exploratory testing and regression tests
- Participate in code reviews
Qualifications
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer Science will be a plus but not a must-have
- 2 – 5 years in Quality Assurance in a non-academic environment
- 2+ years working with simultaneous projects and environments involving test scripting and regression testing
- Experience in evaluating algorithms
- Understanding of the software development life cycle and agile methodologies
- Experience with design patterns and OOP approach to software development
- Significant expertise with Defect Tracking Tools and Test Management Tools
- Knowledge of testing tools like Jest and Mocha is required
- Experience with unit, integration, and system testing is required.
Preferred skills
- Experience with user acceptance testing is a must
