Storage Engineer

Your expertise:

• Linux / Unix administration work experience 4+ years
• Experience with any of distributed storages and network filesystems (Ceph, GlusterFS, DRBD, MinIO, etc.)
• Strong understanding of server hardware (storage devices, raid controllers, multipath is a must)
• Experience with high load environments, high availability and fault tolerance
• Experience with ZFS, Btrfs or any CoW filesystem
• Basic virtualization experience (KVM, VMware, etc.)
• Basic containerization experience: LXC, Docker
• Networking:
  • Good knowledge of OSI Model, TCP / IP protocol suite (IP, ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP)
  • IP addressing and subnetting, Routing concepts
  • Switches: Basic Configuration & VLAN setup
• Basic / advanced level with any of programming languages Bash / Python / Golang
• SCM (Git)
• Experience with any of monitoring systems (Zabbix, Nagios, Prometheus, etc.)
• Pre-Intermediate or higher level of written English

Will be a plus:

• Experience with Dell EMC Unity / Isilon or similar corporate level storage devices
• Experience with storage in Kubernetes
• Understanding of real time data encryption and compression
• CI (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
• IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, etc.)
