Value / Benefits

The Taiwan Scholarship is highly funded and covers:

• Tuition & Miscellaneous Fees:
  Up to NTD 40,000 per semester
  (Any excess must be paid by the student)

• Monthly Living Allowance:

  • NTD 15,000 – Undergraduate students

  • NTD 20,000 – Master’s & PhD students

Note: Accommodation, insurance, internet, and admin fees are not covered.

Scholarship Duration

• Undergraduate: up to 4 years

• Master’s: up to 2 years

• PhD: up to 4 years

• Maximum total scholarship duration: 5 years

• Scholarship year runs from September 1 – August 31

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Be a Turkish national

• Have an excellent academic record and good moral character

• Hold a secondary school certificate or post-secondary degree

• Meet GPA requirements:

  • Undergraduate: GPA ≥ 3.0 (4.5 scale)

  • Graduate: GPA ≥ 3.5 (4.5 scale)

Not eligible if you:

• Are a Taiwanese national or overseas Taiwanese

• Are currently studying in Taiwan (with limited exceptions)

• Have already studied in Taiwan at the same degree level

• Have received Taiwan Scholarship for 5 years

• Have had a Taiwan or Huayu Scholarship revoked

• Are receiving another Taiwan government scholarship

Language Requirements

• Chinese-taught programs:
  TOCFL Level 3 or above

• English-taught programs:
  TOEFL iBT / IELTS or equivalent English certificate
  (Program must be MOE-accredited or officially certified as English-taught)

How to Apply

1. Apply online via the MOE Taiwan Scholarship portal

2. Print the application form

3. Submit three hard copies of all required documents by registered mail to:
   Taipei Economic and Cultural Mission in Ankara

Required Documents

• Taiwan Scholarship Application Form

• Passport copy

• Academic certificates & transcripts (translated if necessary)

• Proof of application to a Taiwanese university

• Language proficiency certificate

• Two sealed reference letters

Application Timeline

• Applications Open: February 1, 2026

• Deadline: March 31, 2026

• Interview Notifications: By April 30, 2026

• Scholarship Start: September 2026
