We at Jamit are a small, passionate team of creators, engineers, and entrepreneurs. Together, we’ve created a product that will change the landscape of social audio content.

We are currently putting together our core team with key hires to build out our vision for the platform and bring in more diverse voices into the world of the social audio community. We are heavy on diversity and we move fast.

Who You Are

You will be responsible for creating our design system, design very intuitive, easy, and delightful tools for creating podcasts and other forms of audio content. You have experience working on designs for multiple products – web, desktop, mobile apps, etc. And you will be working on tools that enable creators to manage, record, edit, and enhance their audio material. These tools will be central to unlocking new and creative audio formats for new and experienced creators. And a lover of audio content, music, audiobooks, podcasts, etc

What You Will Be Doing

• Create the official design system for Jamit products
• You’ll lead projects to deeply understand how listeners listen to content and how audio creators want to manage and distribute their work.
• Ability to deliver high-quality designs and specifications in a timely manner
• Constantly seek user insights – whether it be via hand-on research or A/B tests
• Immerse into Jamit products to understand and improve the user experience, from the big picture to the smallest of details
• Work with other teams within Jamit to develop, design, and iterate features to improve engagement and increase user’s satisfaction in their Jamit experience
• Work across creator-facing surfaces and more technical spaces, bringing the needs of our creators with you as you explore.
• Help shape the culture of our growing design team at Jamit

Qualifications

• 2 – 5 years experience in product design or related field
• Strong creative, design, and communication skills

• Experience designing for audio, video, or podcast tools or you are deeply passionate about podcasts and building tools for creators
• Experience with methods of UX and design-related processes
• Proficiency with adequate design tools and software
