Contra is all about transforming the future of independent work. We are looking for a Community Recruiter to work part-time with our fast-growing team and help us build the best platform for independents. You will be directly helping users on Contra find their dream jobs!

Your core responsibilities will be to help clients on Contra find the best possible matches and applicants for their roles. This will involve using and refining the process by which we match independents with roles, and interacting directly with both sides throughout the matching process. This role will specifically focus on matching users with engineering experience such as full stack, front end and back end developers.

This is a contract position and requires a total of 20-30 hours / week for 3 months, exact timing to be discussed in the interview process. To clarify, this role pays $5000 per month and is ongoing.

• Work closely with our strategy and community teams to understand our user and team needs
• Discover and engage with talented independents internally and externally
• Source high quality resources and job opportunities
• Engage actively with independents from around the world

You’ll be successful here if you:

• Are process-driven with a strong ability to adhere to instructions on how to use internal tools and systems
• Are excited about a remote-first environment
• Passionate about bringing communities together and helping users better understand a product
• You are an A+ communicator (both verbal + written)
• Are located in a timezone 3hrs +/- San Francisco
• Have prior experience working independently (nice to have)
• Have experience with manual processes & systems (nice to have)
• Have experience with Tik Tok and/or Twitter that you can leverage to create a sub-brand around our engineering user community (nice to have)

• Interview w/ Zoë (30 minutes)
• You will receive a final answer from Contra no later than one week after your final interview!
