We are hiring a Data Analyst to support our Cloud Finance team and partner with our Engineering (Product) organization to further build out our Cloud FinOps capabilities and enable our leadership in their decision making related to Cloud related investments in this critical organization.

What You Will Do:

• Track and analyze Elastic Cloud’s business performance across the major Public Cloud providers – AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
• Analyze Cloud usage data and provide intelligence on Elastic’s cloud consumption across various dimensions such as solution areas, regions, etc.
• Pull data and/or provide analytics to assist management decisions such as pricing and packaging initiatives
• Analyze Cloud billing data to identify and make recommendations on Cloud cost savings and margin improvement opportunities

What You Bring Along:

• 2+ years of work experience in data/analytics functions
• Proficient in using SQL to query and analyze data from databases such as GCP BigQuery
• Knowledge of AWS Cost Explorer API, Azure Billing Enterprise APIs is a plus
• Proficiency with data modeling and spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets)
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
• Knowledge of SaaS/Cloud business models is a plus
• Highly motivated self-starter with a very strong work ethic who is willing to work both autonomously and as part of a growing team
• Ability to operate at multiple altitudes, prioritize workload across multiple projects and tasks
• Ability to evaluate and tackle complex problems and understand the implications of different business approaches
• Exceptional social skills, able to establish strong rapport and partnerships at all levels of the organization
• Remarkable analytical skills and the ability to distill sophisticated information
• Ability to work independently in a distributed, fast-paced environment
